The Tabata Timer is an utility that will help you maintain the proper interval your  Tabata interval workout. Tabata training is a method of cardio interval workout that was  developed by Izumi Tabata at the National Institute of Fitness and Sports in Tokyo, Japan.  The workout consists of a period of a sustained, intense activity, followed by a short period  of rest. This cycle continues over a number of times to complete a Tabata workout. The  unique thing in the Tabata workout is that it is very short, with intervals measured in  seconds rather than minutes or hours. The utility allow you to set number of cycles you  need and activity's duration, also duration of rest. For example, if your workout happened  to be running, you should run absolutely as fast as you can in an all out of sprint for 20  seconds. When you finished you should have rest for 10 seconds. Repeat that cycles 10  times. Despite its simplicity it is very difficult but gives good result and sometimes it is  better than the standard cardio workout.
